I'm David and I'm passionate about MarTech, especially the evolution of Salesforce Marketing Cloud. I've got 7 years experience of using SFMC, and am looking at integrating this platform with Data Cloud and new agentic marketing techniques. I'm excited about what Salesforce ‘on-core’ will bring to Marketing Cloud and how this will improve personalisation, reporting and ease of campaign design and management.
I've learnt some cool tools over the years in SFMC, Ampscript coding for powerful personalisation and SQL for joining data tables/objects together from Salesforce to use to inject audiences into automated email and SMS journeys.
I'm a certified SFMC Consultant, Administrator and Email Specialist and have worked across multiple B2C and B2B markets in digital marketing roles for 18 years.
My professional career has spanned over 18 years, consisting of diverse B2B and B2C experience across a range of sectors, including education, finance, dental, with 10 years in tourism and travel, over 4 years in healthcare and a year in Consultancy.
This has seen me execute marketing strategies across a mix of channels – website and brand management, SEO, PPC, affiliates, social media, events, new product development, e-mail/CRM and print production.
I am a qualified CIM marketer meaning I have extensive knowledge of the marketing process, and have vast experience of managing a marketing team. I have acquired expert knowledge (7 years) in Salesforce Marketing Cloud through achieving the email Consultant, Specialist and Administrator certifications, where I’ve also self-taught myself SQL queries and Ampscript personalisation, by enrolling on the Ampscript Academy and getting accredited.
I've achieved the CIM postgraduate Diploma and multiple Salesforce and Hubspot certifications.
