My role as a counter assistant is to be the face of the pharmacy, I answer questions of a medical matter, such as general enquiries of skin complaints, to advising what over the counter medicine some one can take and also getting prescriptions for patients and making sure all gdpr is followed. I work as a team by communicating effectively with other staff members aswells the customers to make sure all needs are met and the correct prescriptions and medication is given out correctly. I used great customer service skills to help make sure everybody has a smooth and happy transition.
I am to make sure I speak clearly so that instructions can be followed effectively. I also order stock for the shop when needed, aswell as making sure the stock is put onto the system when it arrives and pricing it correctly and fill the shelves. I also make sure the pharmacy is clean by hoovering and dusting the shelves and cleaning all areas in the shop and pharmacy.

Teaching Assistant/HLTA (2019-09 – 2024-10)
My job role was a teaching assistant/Higher level teaching assistant. This role consists of covering teachers whilst they are planning, I have to follow the curriculum and deliver this to a class of 25. I have to monitor progression and deliver data to their class teacher as well as converse with their adults in a professional manner.
When I am not an Hlta I support the class teacher and children with classroom interventions and lessons, I am also there to carry out interventions that are outside of the class. This means I work well in a team and always like to review my practice by taking training courses to help me to improve and continue to keep an excellent practice.
One-One Nursery Assistant at Chichester Nursery (2018-01 – 2019-07)
I am a one-one nursery assistant for SEN children. This role consists of being a one-one helping develop SEN children with the advice of the SENCO, I do this by modelling behavior and play, to help the child develop and make friendships. I will also plan activities at group time to help the children develop in areas they may be less developing in. I will also log any evidence for their key worker and work in partnership with any outside organizations that may be involved with the children.
Volunteer Teaching Assistant and Mid Day Meal Supervisor at Central Academy, Chichester (2018-09 – 2018-01)
I volunteered as a teaching assistant in year 5, I also was asked to become a mid-day meal supervisor whilst volunteering. Being a teaching assistant consisted of taking a small amount of children out of the class environment and planning activities to help the children stay focused and help them develop. I also helped the teacher with setting up the classroom activities and helped prepare any activities that may be needed for the children.
