The account which MITIE holds is with Santander. The locations which I am responsible for is comprised of 7 large office buildings, also a small branch in the city centre. I am responsible for ensuring that the contract is run safely and efficiently to the required standard by liaising with the client and monitoring the site operations. This role requires man-management in addition to operational management therefore flexibility and people skills are very important.

• Managing 50 cleaning staff, organising their payroll, ensuring I am within contract hours and budget

• Preparing work schedules, staff training, record attendance, periodical charts for KPI's
• Requesting materials and equipment within budget
• Undertaking risk and COSHH assessments
• Dealing with customer complaints or concerns within 24hrs

I operated my own small cleaning company starting with one contract and expanded it to hold more than 10 contracts at any one time. During my time with DCS I was proud to have won numerous NHBC awards for quality in construction.

This large machine operative company gave me the opportunity to work on varied contracts throughout the UK. This allowed me to learn valuable skills, interacting with clients on site, liaising with the sales representative and managers.
