I am a passionate ESOL teacher, committed to my students' success. I teach all ages, from and have a strong ability to build rapport among students of diverse backgrounds and different individual needs. I create a sense of community, where students feel safe to express themselves and receive support.

Empathy and cultural sensitivity are my strengths, and I have firsthand experience with the challenges of learning new languages and adapting to new cultures, and I believe that empathy and cultural sensitivity are key to a safe and inclusive classroom. I am also fluent in Turkish.

I tutor both in-person and online a variety of subjects, including ESOL, to all ages. My students include secondary school students, home-learners, adults, and I also support SEN students and many from different countries, including Russia, Poland, and Somalia.

I supported classes of SEN students of ages 16-18 from diverse backgrounds including Romanian, Iranian, and Turkish, over a range of levels. My role included writing up reports on their targets, progress, and achievements. Subjects included Maths, Science, Health and Social Care, and Art. I also covered classes when needed.

Adult ESOL Teacher/ teaching classes while studying at University of East London (2023-01 – 2024-12)

I planned comprehensive lessons and delivered them to both elementary and intermediate classes of adult learners. I used my ICT skills to design engaging activities which learners of all backgrounds could relate to and benefit from. I tailored the learning experience towards individual learner needs, as the class included mixed levels, refugees, and neurodiverse students.
