My name is Dee, and I am a graphic designer with a background in art psychotherapy. My experience involves knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design and After Effects). My work involves digital editing/layout, packaging design, motion graphics, branding, and logo design.
I am strongly detail-oriented, and as a creative, I work towards finding solutions by using my creativity. For a more authentic result, I create mixed media projects which combine digital and non-digital elements.
My education and career in art psychotherapy provided me with excellent communication skills and client experience. My previous role involved actively listening to clients and building rapport, which allowed me to develop a greater understanding of their needs with the aim to provide a great service. These skills can be useful when receiving briefs for new projects and working with my clients as a team.
Additional skills I am accustomed to using include mind mapping and managing deadlines, given that my previous role involved lone working with a focus on managing my own workload and handling client inquiries. After years of working in mental health and seeing people in touch with their creativity, I grew motivated to pursue my passion for art and get back into working in design.
One of the things I value most in my work is collaborating with a team, as this is an opportunity to exchange knowledge to achieve our goals. My supportive stance toward my colleagues and out-of-the-box thinking are personal strengths that often prove useful in my work.
