Working with My Homecare, this has been my second position where I feel I excel working closely with people with a mixed variety of care requirements. Within my job at Schuh I managed a team of 20 employees, served customers, opened and closed the store, cashed up / took inventory stalks, arranged shop floor moves, pushed both personal staff and store targets and drove the shop floor to the best of my ability. I ensured everyone's customer service was the best it could be by doing regular service reviews of staff. My duties also included admin and office work including conference calls, sending emails and updating Excel spreadsheets.

I started working at Mode Hairdressing with hopes of perusing a career in the hair and beauty industry. I was employed as an apprentice with a year to complete SVQ Level 3 Hairdressing apprenticeship. My job role was to assist with any hair service and treatments, prepare any clients for stylist, greet clients as they come into the salon ensuring they are comfortable, making refreshments, booking appointments using schedule software and answering the phone for any enquiries.

Once I successfully completed my apprenticeship, I gained more responsibilities as a stylist. Working in a busy salon environment I have recently started to build up a loyal clientele continually improving my customer service skills daily.

When I started working at cuts and colours, I had been at college studying hairdressing but at time I did not complete the course due to personal circumstances. However, I was employed to do colour services, blow-dries and assist with any hair treatment/ services. As well as answering the phone and booking appointments, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at cuts and colour however I wanted to gain a qualification and cuts and colours could not offer an apprenticeship course for me to purse.
