We import Portuguese wines and sell them through our wine bar in Druid Street but also through online/home delivery. I joined Pedro only 3 months after he opened the wine bar in March 2022. We had a team composed of only 2 full time staff (including myself) and 4 part time.
I help with the management of the restaurant/service (capacity of 150 covers) but also with many other aspects of the business (see below for more details). We now have a team of 16 people and our sales have doubled since I arrived. We also have a fully equipped kitchen and offer to our guests a menu composed of small and sharing dishes, inspired from Portuguese cuisine.
I started my career in Finance in France. Moved to London 11 years ago and had to work in Hospitality, as a Runner to sustain myself. I choose to stay in this sector and climbed the management ladder. My current position is for me the culminating point of my career in Hospitality as I helped my current employer to build a Hospitality/ wine business from “scratch”, and been instrumental in its fast growth in a very challenging economic background.
Now I want to work only with wine and in a different environment.
