39.5% interest in a shopping mall valued at c.US$90m in Morocco and;
17.4% stake in a corporate accommodation valued at c.US$68m in Mozambique
Co-managed 5 buy-side and 3 sell-side commercial real estate transactions in Ghana, Morocco, Mozambique and Zambia:
- Coordinated all due diligence processes with external consultants
- Built financial models to assess returns and structured each transaction in the most tax efficient way
- Engaged in negotiations with buyers/sellers, accounting, financing, valuation, treasury, drafting of agreements, legal and compliance aspects of each deal
Prepared information memoranda and investment committee papers
Collaborated on the development of a 10,000sqm, A-grade office property ('The Precinct') in Mauritius
Structured initial phase of a REIT in Morocco; led primary research and managed 10+ relationships with external consultants; formulated strategies to reach critical mass of c.US$400m in 3 years for listing
Collaborated on group strategic projects:
- Repurposing of distressed properties and co-investment opportunities
- Refinancing of debt facilities, developing equity and debt funding strategies
