YAB is a place to improve mental health and improve social wellbeing for young people, and has been a life changing experience. As a member of my local YAB I have experience in the following: health and unhealthy relationships, mental health and wellbeing. I attended an anti-bullying conference in 2023 and going again on 14.11.24 as a MAP representative.
This is presenting to other people about experiences of bullying and how being a YAB member can help with this. I have also learned the importance of confidentiality, when people have disclosed things in YAB meetings. This has also taught me the importance of respect and respecting others.
