This role is as a one to one and class room duty, which includes observing children’s development in all areas to meet their next steps. It also includes helping them to read, write and following the teacher’s plan to work with a small group of children as directed. Furthermore, it involves the preparation of daily work, maintaining the classroom in good order and keeping equipment tidy.
I help to settle children each morning, support children with getting dressed and getting undressed for P.E sessions. I support a child with SEND and ASD with extra help to complete tasks or targets set in individual education programmes (IEPs).
I have an extensive knowledge of child development, supporting special needs children to provide full integration in the unit and engage in a positive staff team
Currently working as Learning Support Assistant: Duties are one to one support a child with special needs and helping in class for daily tasks to support children for their learning, & developing children in different learning abilities.
My qualifications include NVQ level 3 in childcare, and learning and development between the ages of 2 to 5. Currently working in primary school.
