Experienced and compassionate care professional with over 20 years' experience supporting vulnerable people, including extensive experience as a Senior Support Worker within supported living and mental health services. I have also worked in a residential school supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), giving me direct experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting. I am also a parent of two children.

I understand the importance of patience, consistency, clear boundaries, emotional reassurance and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can feel secure and develop confidence. I have a strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, emotional support, behaviour, medication, care planning and maintaining a safe and supportive environment. I am calm under pressure, reliable and confident dealing with challenging situations.

I am now looking to bring my extensive care and support experience back into residential childcare, where I can provide stability, encouragement and positive role modelling to children and young people.
