• Inspect ware for defects in decorations and glass, making sure the quality meets the customer requirements using the job file for printing, sleeving, labelling and coating
• Follow company health and safety policies and hygiene rules
• Solve problems efficiently communicating with shift supervisor, quality officer or production manager either verbally or through Microsoft teams
• Make sure any quality issues are logged and reported with an accurate reference point
• Carry out test such as slide angle, bust pressure test and annealing to make sure required standards are met and the quality is of the highest standard
• Keep a close eye on the performance of decorating and cold end equipment reporting any issues to the correct individuals
• Make sure after job changes that the line is cleared of any ware and items from the last job and also make sure everything is ready for the new job, the pallet labels are correct, the packaging is correct, the correct job file and that the new production runs are set up correctly on APS and APL
• Use APS to log quality checks and APL to block pallets and reprint tickets
• Taking responsibility for looking after staff when working weekend overtime, which includes, staff from different shifts and three different agencies. Also making sure everyone is working safely and to the highest standard. Maintaining contact with management if any major issues arise and ordering glass if required.

• Operate screen printing machines which include Kammann, Strutz and Techno.
• Fill out the required hourly checks and input data into the computer using APS
• Use packaging specification to make sure the print on the bottle is how it is on the artwork and the heights of the print from the bottom of the bottle are correct
• Observe printing machinery for malfunctions and defects of containers, including glass and print faults reporting either to the right person
• Repair minor machine breakdowns and any issues with the machine set up
• Changing printing screens when worn
• Top up printing screens with paint to maintain the print quality
• Sampling for new jobs

Brand Enhancement Centre Cold End Operator – Full time - Ardagh Glass

• Operate glass packaging equipment which includes Schaberger and Zecchetti.
• Use packaging specification sheets to make sure the containers are packed correctly using correct materials and labels
• Observe packaging equipment for malfunctions of machinery and defects of containers reporting either to the right person
• Repair minor faults and jam ups that occur with packaging equipment and report to right person if required
• Help with cold end job changes to speed up the process
• Fill out the required hourly checks and input data into the computer using APS
• General housekeeping that is required in the company hygiene rules
• Maintain a safe working environment by complying with company health and safety policies

• Prepared walks before delivery this includes letters, parcels and door to door items, also loaded the delivery vehicle in correct order of delivery route to make delivery as efficient as possible.
