I am a UK Qualified Paediatrician with over 4years experience as a Paediatric Consultant in the NHS (UK). I completed my MRCPCH (London) in 2013 and achieved my CCT Paediatrics (UK) in 2018 and have secured the FRCPCH (London) in 2018.
As a Consultant Paediatrician I manage patients in General Paediatric OPD’s and during on call week supervise a team to manage Acute Paediatric admissions and support with Paediatric emergencies during on call week where I cover a 30 bedded ward with 4 bedded HDU.
Also, I have expertise in Neonatalogy with a SPIN/Fellowship in Neonatology, I cover on call weeks for a NICU in the same hospital managing a 20 bedded NICU (Level 2 +) and support with high risk deliveries.
My additional responsibility is being the Clinical Audit Lead for Paediatrics, I supervise in audits and support trainees to prepare papers and posters for National and International Conferences.
I have also worked in Private Healthcare in India for 12months as a Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatologist, the most recent role was in Amrita Hospital, which is going to be India’s largest Private Hospital.
I am popular with my patients and their families and I strive to provide quality care by including the families in decision making.
It is my desire to work in the UAE and I have cleared my dataflow checks and have a valid DHA Eligibility Letter to work as a Consultant Pediatrician.
DHA Approved currently a Consultant Paediatrician with the National Health Service (NHS, UK) with 9 years’ experience post MRCPCH & 4 years’ experience post CCT (UK) Paediatrics with additional Neonatal expertise. Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health (FRCPCH) since 2018. I am a provider for Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) and I am a Neonatal Life Support Course instructor (UK) and Neonatal Resuscitation Programme provider (India).
Extensive experience in General Paediatrics plus Level 2 and 3 Neonatal experience at Cambridge and London with approved RCPCH Certified Fellowship/ SPIN (Special Interest in Neonatology). Certified in Leadership & Management from University of Cambridge leading to the role of Paediatric Clinical Audit Lead since 2019, Peterborough City Hospital.
In my present role as Consultant Paediatrician in this 600 bedded hospital, I manage and supervise the running of a 30 bedded paediatric ward, 12 bedded paediatric assessment unit and we provide cover for Paediatric Emergency services and Paediatric Resuscitation. During non on-call weeks, I conduct General Paediatric, Rapid Paediatric access and Neonatal follow up clinics. During my on call Neonatal weeks, I supervise and manage 20 bedded NICU, 12 bedded transitional care ward and I provide support for high risk deliveries.
I teach and supervise Paediatric and Nursing trainees.
Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education (PGCME) leading to the post of RCPCH approved education supervisor for Paediatric trainees in East of England, since 2018. Post Graduate Certificate in Genomic Medicine from Imperial College London in 2021. This helped me discuss and counsel regarding antenatal and subsequent genetic reports
