I am a college student studying Civil Engineering and aspiring to become a property manager. I am currently looking for work and have retail experience where I adopted skills such as customer service, cash handling, time-management, working under pressure, and more, which can be further discussed. I am an ambitious learner who thrives on working in busy environments, learning new skills and progressing as an individual.
Farmfoods - Retail Assistant
During my time in retail from 2024 to 2025, I had to work consistent busy shifts within a small team of 4 to 6 people. This inevitably led to a lot of pressure during busy hours, however, with strong time management skills and efficient multi-tasking, all tasks could be completed within their scheduled time. Alongside this, I learnt how to deal with customers one to one whilst serving them and dealing with any problems they may have been facing whilst shopping, whilst maintaining professionalism and respect.
Additionally, during closes I proficiently conducted tasks like: defrosting chillers and freezers; sweeping and mopping floors; disposing of any wastage and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness around the shop floor.
The Manchester College - Openshaw Campus
At the moment, I am completing a Level 3 T-level in Civil Engineering. Throughout my time on the course, I have worked collectively with my peers to complete hypothetical building projects using 3D modelling software accompanied by detailed reports and powerpoint presentations. Furthermore, I have gained a lot of knowledge which I didn’t have prior to studying this course, such as: utilising 3D modelling softwares to visualise initial ideas; knowledge on soils and landscaping; health and safety regulations; legislation and law within construction; budgeting; acknowledging which materials may be more cost-efficient and eco-friendly and time-scheduling.
