I am a 56 year old, married man with two sons and a dog. I enjoy learning new skills and challenging work environments. I can work effectively on my own or as part of a team. My strengths include an ability to form quick positive relationships with colleagues or customers helped by my sense of humour and my genuine interest in people.

My previous jobs have equipped me with a wide range of useful skills and knowledge which would be transferrable to a wide range of posts. The biggest portion of my work history was in Psychiatric Nursing but that involved more skills than just nursing including, communication skills, record keeping, crisis management, research, teaching, mentoring and management skills. For the past few years I have worked in mainly driving jobs with Yodel Deliveries and Taxi driving.

This has given me experience in warehouse operations, customer service and a good knowledge of Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway. The best parts of the job have been the open road, customer interaction and the comradery within the colleagues.
