I am experienced in customer service, having worked at the Foxlowe Arts Centre in Leek for nearly 5 years. I worked as a barista in the café and bartender during day and evening music events. I also set up and maintained the Square point of sale system and food/bar menu. Through this role, I developed my customer service skills including time management, patience, active listening and the ability to adapt to customer needs in a fast-paced working environment. I have experience volunteering with the Kilnworx Climbing Centre in Stoke-on-Trent as a mobile climbing instructor working with primary and secondary school groups. I also have experience volunteering with the Youth Hostel Association (England & Wales) as an event photographer.
I achieved a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Software Development) at Derby University with a 2.1 grade. In this degree, I used a multitude of programming languages in software development and networked applications and researched the effectiveness of a more practical, hands-on, less theory-based approach to introducing computer graphics using shader-based software as my dissertation project.
