Ed Shek

I'm Ed, I have more than 10 years of design leadership experience, working at management levels across commercial and tech sectors in the UK. My UX Design Lead role at Jadu gave me the opportunity to build a design team of UX designers and researchers from the ground up for delivering websites for councils and universities that is accessible to everyone. I also guided the team strategically to move to Figma to build a design system for cross function collaboration, bringing consistency to product and web design, to increase speed and scalability of the design.

So that our projects started looking more cohesive, consistent and accessible. My role involved facilitating design workshops, write up reports, creating wireframes and prototypes including working with clients on design iterations. Some projects resulted in winning major portfolio accounts across the UK, US, and Australia.

I have a passion for creating good design that is accessible. I am always committed to continuous improvement and I have helped create a culture at Jadu that supports ongoing innovation in design. My approach is collaborative, solutions focused, and I am confident in my ability to deliver impactful design leadership and creative direction in future roles.
