I am currently a Year in Industry student within the Stakeholder Engagement team at SP Energy Networks, where I support the coordination and delivery of engagement activities with a wide range of external partners, communities and industry stakeholders. In this role, I contribute to research, event planning, and stakeholder communications. I gather insights and ensure stakeholders are informed and involved in key projects.

I am developing strong analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills while gaining first-hand experience in how effective engagement supports strategic decision-making within the energy sector.

Working as a retail assistant at Primark for two years has given me strong customer service skills, confidence in handling busy shop floor environments and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers. I have gained valuable experience in stock management, visual merchandising and maintaining high standards of store presentation. This role has also strengthened my teamwork, problem-solving abilities and time-management skills, as I regularly worked to meet targets and support colleagues during peak trading hours.

While in education, I spent school holidays working at Pyramid Consultancy, a recruitment firm, where I support both IT functions and resourcing activities. This involved assisting consultants with candidate sourcing, maintaining candidate databases, and liaising with the business's local and international clients, giving me early exposure to professional environments and cross-border business operations.

• Developed key foundational skills in the IT environment, gaining confidence with spreadsheets, file updates, and understanding how a business setting operates.
• This also gave me insight into workplace norms, professional conduct, and subscription stress standards and professional conduct.
