My name is Edward Lomas and I’m an experienced freelance director of photography and editor based in London. I primarily shoot and edit short films, music videos and corporate commercials. My latest project as director of photography is the documentary ‘A Life On The Farm’. A strange story from Somerset, England about a film-making farmer and the inspiring legacy of his long-lost home movies. ‘A Life On The Farm’ has been acquired for distribution in the US, UK & Ireland and debuts in cinemas on the 8th of September. I’m one of three film makers at Sonderbar Pictures, a production company based in London.
I have also directed and produced a number of short films including ‘Benefits’ which received £4,000 in funding as part of Channel 4’s ‘Random Acts’. In 2018 ‘Benefits’ was screened prior to ‘Blade Runner 2049’ as part of Curzon Cinema’s ‘Explore The World’ festival. It has also screened at ‘London Short Film Festival’ & ‘London Sci-Fi Film Festival’.
