Pitch to and maintain relationships with broadcasters, commissioners and writers
Find IP and ideas for potential new projects
Make and update talent lists while staying abreast of industry developments
Attend events to network and meet new potential partners and talent
Develop relationships with writers and talent, feedback on ideas
Editorial & Creative
Run the company slate, including editorial duties on existing projects and developing new ideas based on company and commissioner briefs
Contacting agents and writers with feedback
Read and report on new scripts, books and existing IP
Collaborate, write and edit pitch decks and treatments for projects
Take part in writers’ room setups to develop story, characters and ideas
Logging all script, book and other IP submissions
Manage databases with status of projects, new talent etc.
Negotiate shopping agreements and options with writers and agents
Prepare for and lead meetings, take and share notes and follow-up details
Booking and organising travel for festivals and events
Overseeing development budget and admin support where needed
