Elena Semykina

I’m a CELTA-qualified ESL tutor based in the UK with several years of experience teaching adults and young learners online. I work with students from different countries and backgrounds, focusing mainly on speaking confidence, clear grammar, and practical everyday English.

My lessons are friendly, interactive, and adapted to each student’s level and goals. I often create my own materials to keep lessons engaging and easy to understand, especially for beginners. My aim is to help students feel comfortable using English and see real progress in their communication skills.

I have several years of experience working as an online ESL tutor with international platforms such as Varsity Tutors, Cafetalk, TopOnline Teachers, and Wingy Tutors. I’ve taught both adults and young learners, delivering one-to-one and small group lessons tailored to individual goals, from everyday communication to professional English.

I hold a CELTA qualification from Stafford House London, which gives me strong practical training in modern ESL teaching methods. I also have a Diploma with Honours in English and Chinese Language Education from Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical University, where I qualified as a teacher of English and Chinese and as a translator.
