News Broadcaster/Producer
- I wrote, produced and presented the news bulletins for Nottingham Trent University’s CBJ morning and afternoon radio shows.
- I used Adobe Audition edit my audio clips and voiceovers as well as the programme ‘Burli’ to write, manage and organise what news bulletins would be broadcast for each show
- I have thoroughly researched potential interviewees, written scripts, and filmed and edited clips that have been broadcast for TV, using the software Adobe Premiere Pro to put them together and as a result produce Radio and TV packages.
Reporter
- I have researched my own stories, interviewed relevant people and have produced digital content on wordpress that has been published on our course’s news website ‘CBJspotlight’.
- I have also independently produced and filmed news stories where Interviews would then be carried out with the relevant technical equipment.
Breaking Jar LTD Social media assistant/Content Creator
- I worked remotely with a startup film company called ‘Breaking Jar LTD’ as part of my placement.
- My role was to create short reels to recycle for social media platforms such as Instagram, Tiktok and Youtube to promote their upcoming short film ‘Sparks May Fly’.
- I worked with the software Adobe Premiere Pro to edit my videos.
- I pitched content ideas to their Director Hunter Boydell, where we planned and strategised ideas for reels.
- Over two months I created 25 to 30 videos ranging from 30 seconds to a minute each.
Mindless academy Content writer
- My 4 week remote placement took place with Mindless Mag which is a female-led online article publication, that writes articles about important topics in our society.
- This internship required me to fulfill weekly content creation/editorial articles, in which I was given the task to write up and curate articles based on my given briefs.
- This was done through hours of research, writing and inspiration taken from examples in the task descriptions. The programme also included tutorials on digital skills such as SEO, whether that was through PowerPoints or prerecorded videos, live calls and workshops which further taught me skills in digital communication.
Bristol 24/7 reporter
- Over the course of 4 days, I was a reporter for an independent magazine and website.
- I researched and pitched stories as well as being tasked with rewriting press releases.
- I organised and set up interviews with relevant people and and worked digitally, using WordPress to write up my articles while working closely with my supervisor who guided me through the days.
