Eliza Saunders

I am currently studying Level 3 Film and Tv at South Essex College and completed work experience with Channel 4 and Springpod.. I am hard working and ambitious with a positive attitude. My course is very practical and requires you to build up the skills of working well in a team, and brings out your creative skills.

In my previous job I gained many skills I didn’t have before such as social skills and watching out for others' health and safety. I am looking for a part time or full time job to work now that I am nearing the end of college.

I worked as a ride host and operator, meaning that I learnt how to handle busy queues, and had the responsibility of making sure the rides worked and had to watch out for others’ health and safety. I gained many skills here such as customer service, such as greeting every guest and engaging with them to make sure they’re comfortable, which helped to build my confidence massively. Another skill I gained was safety checks, which involved constantly making sure the area and ride was safe for guests, as well as checking that guests were behaving appropriately.

I had to train very quickly and I found I learnt how to carry out tasks quickly, which I believe to be a useful skill for any job.

I am a student at South Essex College based in Southend and am studying my second year of Level 3 Diploma TV and Film Media.
