Part-time sales assistant / part-time senior sales assistant at Heron Foods (2023-01 – Present)
I was hired as a part time sales assistant to begin with. I then got asked to move up 6 months in, to be a part-time senior sales assistant.
- I worked the tills and was one on one with the customer, offering deals and pushing upsells. Although I knew there was jobs do to, I always made sure I had time to speak with a customer, both to be kind and to build a rapport with the customers.
- I put delivery away when I wasn't on the till, rotating stock and maintaining the facing up of the shelving.
- When I was on the closing shift, I would sweep and mop the floors to maintain the cleanliness, empty bins and make sure the shop was ready for the morning shift.
- This requires counting tills and safe, ensuring everything is balanced. Including saving stamps and vouchers too. I also do the banking when it is required and the stock counts when asked of me.
- I also deal with customer complaints, the orders for the shop and putting stock out onto the shelving, while maintaining the shop looks clean, tidy and full.
- Additionally, I handle the paperwork of the shop. Allowing me to upkeep the organisational skills and time management, as many of the jobs must be completed before the shop's opening.
- I also talk to the area manager and regional manager to maintain the standards of the shop, as well as talk to any other higher-ups who visit the store to see the progress of the sales and availability of the stock. This allows me to be more confident when talking to higher-ups as I need to keep the store to their standards and to communicate what could be done to improve the store.

Online English Tutor at Yvonne and Emond (2019-01 – 2020-12)
I assisted foreign students with English, specifically in grammar, linguistics and spelling; via Zoom and Word Online.
- I would be sent homework from the students via email, and I would correct them on the word document and emailed them back.
- I would colour code the feedback to make it easier to follow for the students and recommend them to read English translations of their favourite books.
