Volunteer at Arlington House, North Devon (2026-07 – Present)

• At the forefront is the engagement aspect, which seeks to drive academic outreach and visitor engagement across both the historic house and the carriage museum, translating complex heritage narratives for diverse public audiences.
• Conduct primary-source research at the North Devon Archives, moving beyond data processing to critically analyse manuscripts and material culture from the museum collection.
• Collaborate with the collections manager on specialised heritage projects, including uncovering the estate's queer history and colonial ties, textile conservation, and contextualising historical artefacts within broader social structures. Current project is working towards a conference presentation of surroundings in London entitled the Queer House.

Guest Speaker — Postgraduate History, Sexuality and Gender Workshop at Cambridge University

Invited to present undergraduate dissertation research to an academic audience of postgraduate researchers and lecturers, successfully defending complex arguments and engaging in critical Q&A on queer material culture.

Writer at Surround Sound Magazine (2025-07 – Present)

Research, pitch, and author in-depth cultural analyses exploring modern media landscapes, consumption patterns, and visual culture.

• Articles in progress consist of conducting ongoing independent interviews (such as with the Lady Bug zine) and investigating female-led culinary archives (examining Archana Pidathala's matriarchal recipe collection), as well as Queer media integrations (on Anne Schoenbrun's horror films) to produce rigorous, narrative-driven pieces for a general readership.

Researcher and Presenter at Pacific Atrocities Education (2025-06 – Present)

Researcher operating as the primary UK representative, conducting independent, boots-on-the-ground investigations at the National Archives to unearth British POW experiences.

• Sift through thousands of physical documents, maps, and historical collections, critically analysing complex datasets, and digitally archiving them onto the PAE platform.
• Synthesised recovered archival findings into accessible educational resources. Produced blog posts, a ten-chapter long-form piece, and contributions toward school education packs for American children, alongside supporting international conferences and live-streamed public engagement initiatives.

Mentor at Zero Gravity (2023-09 – Present)

Support A-level students preparing for Oxbridge applications, widening-participation backgrounds through hyper-competitive Oxbridge admissions processes, delivering rigorous interview simulations and personal statement critiques. Maintained a 100% success rate, successfully preparing all mentees for university acceptance and entry into Oxford and Cambridge.

Tutor at Self-employed / MyTutor (2021 – Present)

Delivered high-level, one-on-one instruction across History, English Literature, Science, and Psychology for GCSE and A-Level candidates. Designed bespoke, scaffolded learning plans that consistently elevated student outcomes, resulting in all tutees exceeding their official grade predictions. Particularly for those with neurodivergence, including dyslexia, offering group and 1-1 support.

Groundskeeper and Gardener at Private estate (2023 – Present)

Over several estates, alongside a small team, managed complex grounds upkeep, landscape design, and environmental maintenance, demonstrating rigorous autonomy, physical endurance, and exceptional attention to detail.

As part of a large team supporting hospitality and rentals in Croyde, executed high-standard property management and logistical turnovers within a fast-paced commercial environment, strengthening time management, cross-functional communication, and cooperative problem-solving.

Trained position in which I covered the making of drinks, cleaning and managing, as well as customer service. This front-facing role involved the management of high-volume customer interactions, order fulfilment, and point-of-sale operations in a dynamic retail setting. Developed active listening, high-stakes multitasking, and rapid conflict-resolution capabilities under strict time constraints.
