I volunteer with the Volunteer police cadets and help in the Community. I go around the community making sure that people are safe from any danger. I do this because I aim to join the police when I am old enough. I find this gives me a sense of purpose so I can get some experience before I join the job.
Cafe Staff - Divan Cafe - Romford

During my time there I took orders from customers, and once the order was complete, I would then serve them the order. I also assisted with clearing tables and getting them set and ready for the next customers to dine in the cafe. I was also shown how to work the till so that I could take payments from customers wanting to settle their bills. I worked for Divan Cafe for a total of 6 weeks during my summer holiday before starting college.
Cafe Staff - Hungry Cat Cafe - Holsten
During my work there, I took orders from customers, and once the order was taken, I would make their coffee and give them their cake if they ordered cake. Then I would go to the kitchen and wash up whatever needed to be washed up. I would cash up the orders and give the correct cash or use the card machine. I have worked for the Hungry Cat Cafe for 4-5 weeks on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Table Service Staff - Thetford Garden Centre
I was responsible for providing table service to guests. This involved delivering food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Following their departure, my duties included clearing tables by removing used crockery and cutlery, correctly disposing of waste, and organising tableware for subsequent cleaning.
Specifically, I pre-rinsed cutlery to streamline the washing process. My regular schedule included weekend and during the week the shifts start from 10:00 to 16:00. Additionally, I managed the payment process by delivering receipts to tables and handled the distribution of gratuities by collecting tips and ensuring the tip jar was accessible for equitable sharing among staff.
Gym Assistant - Gym in Enfield - Enfield, London
When I finished school, I took part in two two-week work experiences at a gym in Enfield, London. During my time there, I assisted with setting up equipment ready for participants' training sessions. Once the training was complete, I assisted with putting the equipment away, prepared to be used by other gym users.
When able to do so, I assisted with showing the participants parts of the gym session. Once the training was complete, I helped with administration and was shown how to input it into the relevant computer systems.
