Ellie Moore

I am a 21 year student studying English Language (BA hons) at Newcastle University. I am interested in going into journalism, editorial work, news reading, or reporting once graduating from university (June 2023).

I am hard-working, confident, well-organised, team player, open to learning new skills, trustworthy, and I have excellent written and communication skills.

Art is a hobby of mine, where I have completed commissions for clients, as well as being in school and university magazines. I love to travel, and I'm a confident skier. A job outside of the UK is something I am keen to do.

The Gazette and Herald | Wiltshire Times January 2023

I have been accepted to work for the Gazette and Herald newspaper from 9th January for a week, where I will be working with the editorial team, as well as the reporting team. This will give me experience for future job prospects in media.

Interior Design experience with ‘Charlotte Stuart Interiors’ Summer 2022

I was taken to the Chelsea Harbour Design Centre, which is also known as the home of interior design. Here I was shown around different show rooms belonging to high-end designers, where I was given advice on careers in the design world. I watched how different fabrics were chosen to match in rooms.

I was also lucky enough to be invited to the ‘WOW!house’ event, which has been exclusively created for a month, where top designers show off their design skills in different rooms. This was truly inspiring.

I got to do some work experience in the marketing department at Eversfield Organic Farm for 4 days at the start of Summer 2018. This gave me some useful skills and an idea of what the marketing world is really like. This really helped me choose my course for universities, as it gave me the confidence to know exactly what I want to do, due to being slightly unsure about doing marketing before this work experience.
