I am an energetic person, a keen learner and work best in a practical setting. I enjoy working in a team and work well independently with skills I am confident with. I have confidence in new settings and like meeting new people.

During my work experience at Akers Trust, an outdoor activity centre; I helped with preparation of activities, showed how to complete the activities safely, encouraged the participants to achieve their full potential and made sure they enjoyed their day. My current aim is to work towards getting qualified in the construction industry. I think I am reliable and resilient, even when things are difficult, I will still try my best.

I am also hard working and committed.

Work Experience - Carpentry Skills - Volunteer It Yourself (VIY) - Lion Farms Action Centre

(2025-06 - 2025-06)

This is a youth volunteering service to get experience with carpentry skills. It's based in the community. I enjoyed practising the skills I learnt in my level 1 course in college. This experience showed I can responsibly be a part of the real working world in carpentry and look forward to the career in it.

Built different cupboards and shelves
Measured and cut the wood into the right size using a hand saw

Kept to health and safety guidance

Site Experience - Builder's Mate - Builder

(2024-08 - 2024-08)

For this project it was a room renovation. It started with removing all the current plastering back to brick and dropped the ceiling back to the beams. I gained a lot of knowledge with how to use tools safely and what to do to get the job done. I saw some simple electrical skills as some of the plugs needed to be moved. I liked being a builder's mate I really enjoyed it.
