I’m 24 years old and I have worked in a variety of different healthcare settings such as GP surgery, hospital, domicillary care and care home work. I started at 17 as an apprentice carer. I’m passionate about my work and aspire to become a registered nurse which is my biggest aim at the minute.
Senior carer- medication management, personal care, care planning , MDT
HCA in a hospital- post-op care, obs in line with NEWS2, TWOC’s, assisting physios, dealing with emergencies
HCA in GP surgery- phlebotomy, vaccinations, dressings, leg ulcer care and compression, assisting well woman clinics and minor ops.
domicillary care- community care, personal care, shopping assistant, wellbeing support.
I have my NVQ3 in Adult social care as a lead adult care worker.
functional skills level 2 English and Maths.
