As a recently qualified creative arts therapist with psychotherapy included training, I am looking for a position where I can lead drama therapy sessions with both individuals and groups. The drama therapy approach allows clients a different perspective on their emotions through the use of story, symbols, movement, role-play, music and art; it is accessible for everyone. I have worked with both verbal and non-verbal clients from ages 6-96 and have found that looking at one's self through a creative lens can be effective and therapeutic. I have over 100 hours of clinical experience working with clients who have autism, ADHD, dementia, psychosis, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, bipolar and other mental and physical disabilities/conditions.
I am a dedicated, energetic and transparent person who believes in a person-centred approach and that each therapeutic encounter should be unique and personal, putting the clients needs first always, both when working independently and part of a team.
