To introduce myself, my name is Emma, a registered associate nutritionist with experience working in different environments environments with people of all ages, such as in schools, eating disorder/mental/rehabilitation clinics and homes, what given me various types of responsibilities and the ability to adapt myself to different situations, both independently and in a team.
My passion lies in helping others thrive and master their true potential and wellness by overcoming the mental and physical barriers in order to reach their goals, which is why I have completed a Msc in Nutrition & Behaviour, apart from my love for cooking and traveling. My previous Bachelors in Psychology has helped me better understand human behaviour and how mental processes work - and most importantly has taught me how to become empathetic and compassionate towards others.
As a young athlete, mindfulness, meditation and journaling has always been part of my everyday life. I constantly keep myself up-to-date with evidence-based research about nutrition, exercise and sleep, and keep gaining additional qualifications & CPD where necessary to enhance my knowledge.
My previous job as a Nutritionist at a start-up holistic/botanical pharmacy, I used strong interpersonal skills to empathise, communicate, and connect with consumers in an honest, authentic, and engaging way that made them feel unique. I demonstrated consultative selling skills, built rapport and offer both product and nutritional/lifestyle recommendations to the customer and influence positive behaviours with team in-store to enable better consumer experience. I also used new advanced technology which includes AI driven app for personalised health needs.
I am a self-motivated and highly organised individual with a natural flair for creativity. I have experience of working with the needs of a broad range of members with experience in delivering group activity relating to wellness, such as working as a LifeSkills Leader in summer schools with children and older people in homes and rehabilitation clinics. Doing so has improved my listening, confidence and people skills - apart from it being extremely rewarding.
I take pride and have a proactive, flexible approach to work and have a warm, positive and bubbly personality. I have a great work ethic, thrive when given a challenge and am prepared to go the extra mile to achieve my own personal goals and development, as well as the workplace I am in.
