I have recently worked within the quality department ensuring that the high standards required within food manufacturing industry are monitored, maintained and improved inline within internal and external standards. I thrive in working environments where both the company and I feel passionate about the product and service provided to customers and consumers and a believer that every role has a part to play achieving a high quality safe product which meets customer expectations along with ensuring health and safety rules are adhered to. I am computer literate using a range of software for example outlook, excel, QPulse, D365 (purchase order system, weighbridge and LIMS system) Mercury which is the computerised operating system for the site - Raw material intake, milling system and animal feed, logging samples on external laboratory portals.

I have the ability to build good relationships with the general public, staff, co-workers, managers and suppliers. This includes supporting and training staff, within my department. Colleagues feel at ease coming to me with queries, knowing I am able to relay the information they need in a patient and understandable way, by adapting to individual learning styles.

I actively encourage my staff to ask questions when unsure or when they do not have the knowledge in the specific area, along with being honest and open when a mistake has been made and I follow the same rule for myself, if an aspect arises that is not within my forte then I will seek information and guidance. Having managed a department I have gained valuable skills with regards to managing staff, ensuring the department runs smoothly and exceeds the company's expectations, along with ensuring all equipment is fully maintained and calibrated both internally or by external contractor and that staff are not only trained but confident and competent in all aspects of their role. I have a keen eye for detail and feel if a task is done then it should be done correctly, from wearing the correct PPE in the correct manner to ensuring training is carried out correctly and not a paper exercise, along with always ensuring that when passing through an area my auditor eyes are always being used to look for any opportunities to improve.

Clearly I have to manage my own time in a busy and high-volume environment, and ensure duties are carried out efficiently and to a high level of accuracy, within given timescales. I am a highly motivated, analytical person with good organisational and an eye for detail. I am quick to learn new applications and procedures and I adapt to change easily.

Laboratory Team Leader - Whitworth Bros Ltd Flour Millers

• Supervising and supporting at team of three laboratory technicians, managing the laboratory workload to ensure tasks are completed within the required time scale and communicating with management regards progress.
• Planning the laboratory shift rota to ensure all shifts are covered.
• Training employees within the lab against procedures, laboratory methods and induction training along with internal food safety training and ensuring refresher training is carried out in a timely manor.
• Ensuring my department runs efficiently, within budget and ensuring deadlines and targets are met.
• Monitoring performance, internal calibration and maintenance of equipment, along with organising and ensuring external calibration is carried out within the require timescale.
• Managing the laboratory consumables and ordering the required supply's.
• Monitoring and acting upon external microbiological results for the heat treated flour range.
• Internal auditor including scheduling and carrying out monthly CCP audits, food safety audits/GMP inline with BRCGS, along with following up actions carried out and ensuring COSHH/food safety / chemical chemical control is adhered to.
• Carrying testing of finished product and reporting any deviations to management.
• Booking in and testing raw material deliveries which includes face to face contact which drivers, supporting them using our weighbridge and the unloading process, ensuring if an issue occurs that I maintain a calm and professional manor to elevate and calm the situation.
• Creating certificates of analysis as required for delivery's and ensuring laboratory documentation is updated as required.
• Working along side site management and other departments to help ensure the site is audit ready supporting during traceability exercises and giving laboratory tours during audits BRCGS, FEMAS and customer visits/audits.

• Carrying out hygiene duties internally and externally of the site to maintaining the required hygiene standards within all areas including production and packing.
• Deputising for the hygiene supervisor, monitoring the site on a daily basis and ensuing the team is allocated to the correct areas.
• Supporting the site in other tasks required to ensure the company's goals are met this included packing flour and carrying CCP checks.

• As a shop assistant I was responsible for ensuring the shelves were stocked, working on the tills handling money.
• Communicating with the public and building good relationships with local residence, helping them with their shopping and carrying out small acts of kindness like opening doors.

Shelf filler - Morrisons Supermarket

• Main duties included the rotation of stock ensuring shelf life was checked and replenishing stock in a tidy presentable manor.
• Customer service which included guiding and showing customers where items are and helping those with limited mobility when support was required such as passing items to them when the could not reach or when an item was heavy by placing it in the trolley.
• Being polite and friendly to customers to ensure their shopping experience was positive.
