Working within a team of 12 care assistants at a care home, delivering personal care to 47 resident. Reporting to the team leader, ensure the delivery of excellent care to residents including higher level care needs for those with dementia, Alzheimer's and residents who had experienced neurological events.
Bank Healthcare Assistant at Yeovil District Hospital (2023-12 – 2024-06)
Whilst working in YDH I delivered person centered care to very vulnerable individuals in an emergency health and social care setting. I was trained to be a part of an emergency team to support in the delivery of medical procedures such as choking and cardiac arrest. During my time in this role I developed skills in thinking on my feet during high pressure scenarios, and honing my level of emotional intelligence to support others such as colleagues and patients' relatives.
Customer Service Assistant at Tesco (2022-06 – 2024-10)
Working in a busy city store delivering excellent service and care to customers. I was Multi Skilled trained to support in all areas to ensure that as a team, we contributed to the efficient running of the store. The role required me to meet tight deadlines, often multitasking whilst keeping customer satisfaction at the forefront. I developed excellent skills in communication, applying these to de-escalate situations and finding resolutions for dissatisfied customers.
Volunteer at The Knoll Nursing Home (2022-12 – 2023-06)
I took the opportunity to take a voluntary role whilst at college. This provided me the opportunity to learn the necessary skills and qualities that are needed to work in a health and social care setting. I admired the care and pure ambition required to deliver excellent and personal centered care to all individuals, and it was during this time I developed my abilities to meet the demands of the role.
I forged good working relationships with the team and residents during my placement and through this, was offered a full time position the following year.
