I'm a motivated young individual that seeks new experiences and challenges. I have practical joinery experience gained through work experience for a housing company, alongside voluntary experience in a hospice setting. Through these roles I have developed strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.

I am eager to learn new skills, take on responsibilities and contribute positively to a team. I am hard working, punctual and committed to providing a high standard of work in any role I undertake. I have now finished my studies at high school.

In my free time I enjoy carrying out little jobs around my house or for family members, I like taking on new projects that challenge me and push me to my full potential. I enjoy going to the gym and keeping fit, whilst committing to a football team. These help me stay disciplined and focused on my health.

Voluntary Worker at East Lancashire Hospice (2026-05 – 2026-06)

Voluntary working at East Lancashire Hospice provided me with experience in supporting people with compassion, dignity and respect during difficult times. It helped me gain a selfless attitude and understand emotional resilience towards individuals with different needs and circumstances. Whilst developing active listening skills, empathy and patience, it also helped me build confidence working along side of health professionals and other volunteers, whilst also building confidence in dealing with sensitive situations.

I learnt the importance of confidentiality, professionalism, time management and person-centred approach. I regularly do fund raising and charity walks to help raise money towards East Lancashire Hospice.

Joiner at Together Housing Group (2025-05 – 2025-06)

During my work experience I worked independently and as a team confidently. I gained skills in carrying out a range of joinery repairs, installations and refurbishment work in occupied and void homes. I completed maintenance tasks to a high standard, managed workloads effectively while meeting deadlines and company targets.

I gained understanding of health and safety regulations, problem solving and a professional approach when dealing with tenants, contractors and work colleagues. I take pride in maintaining high level of customer satisfaction. This also helped develop strong communication and customer service skills through regular interaction.

It strengthened my teamwork and communication with other trades and housing staff to ensure repairs were completed efficiently with the help of others. Working along side of Together Housing helped develop confidence, professionalism, problem-solving abilities and a customer focused approach in the work place.
