I am a passionate and committed mathematics teacher who believes that every student has the ability to succeed when given the right support and encouragement. My focus has always been on helping students not only improve their grades, but also build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills through engaging and carefully structured lessons. I create a classroom environment where students feel valued, supported, and motivated to take on challenges.
Over the past 18 years, I have had the privilege of teaching in diverse settings across the UK, Malaysia, Norway, and Somaliland. These experiences have enriched my teaching practice, strengthened my subject knowledge, and deepened my understanding of different learning needs and cultural perspectives. As a Head of Department for more than 8 years, I have developed strong leadership skills, supporting colleagues, leading initiatives, and working closely with parents to ensure the best outcomes for students.
I have taught across GCSE, IB MYP, and IGCSE programmes, with consistent success in helping students make progress and achieve their goals. What drives me most is seeing students grow in confidence and begin to enjoy mathematics, especially those who may have struggled in the past. For me, teaching is not just about numbers, but about inspiring students to believe in themselves and realise their potential.
