I am a compassionate and dedicated adult general registered nurse with about 4 years of post-qualification experience working within the acute medical unit, surgical ward, Trauma and orthopaedic ward, outpatient clinic, operating theatres and care homes. In addition, I have transferrable skills from working in the paediatric unit, neonatal unit, palliative and elderly care. I possess exceptional interpersonal relationship, communication, time management and leadership skills.

I am a great team player, I see the value of working together within my immediate team and other members of the multidisciplinary team, to achieve set patient care goals and provide optimal care intervention. I consistently strive for excellence and career advancement, which is why I am currently ongoing my distance learning to obtain a Bachelor of science degree in Nursing and top up my Nursing Diploma. Staff Nurse (Paediatric unit) at Duchess International Hospital (2026-01 – Present)

• Prompt admission of acutely ill pediatric patients into the pediatric ward, using the admission pathway and care plan.
• Obtaining patient vital signs, head to toe assessment and physical observation.
• Continuous monitoring of the patient using the NEW chart and prompt escalation base on the score as necessary to patient medical team.
• Initiating intravenous cannulation and venipuncture as prescribed.
• Administration of prescribed intravenous medication.
• Efficient care of the patient following prescribed care and nursing interventions
• Transfer of patient's care through effective handover using the SBAR (situation-background-assessment-recommendation)

• Admission of acutely ill and surgical patients into a quiet and comfortable medical surgical ward environment and formulating care plans using the nursing process, both preoperatively and postoperatively
• Ensuring patient is stable and conscious using the Glasgow coma scale
• Close monitoring and observation of patient vital signs using NEWS chart/score
• Assessment of pressure areas for pressure sore and grading using the appropriate chart
• Patient re-positioning 2hourly to prevent pressure sores post -operatively and when safe and recommended

• Admission of pediatric patients into a safe, clean quiet and comfortable ward environment
• Connecting the patients to the vital signs and observation monitor and obtaining relevant vital signs
