I am an ambitious sustainability and environmental management MEnv student interested in social sustainability and community development. Human connections and communities are the keystone within addressing the climate crisis; a healthy community is a crucial yet overlooked part of sustainability.
I will graduate in July 2026 and am seeking a graduate role within social sustainability and social impact change, specialising in meaningful community engagement.

Bartender at a wedding venue
Over four years of effective customer communication has developed my interpersonal and communication skills.
Superb working relationship with my co-workers; I have worked in teams of between three and twenty and understand how to share tasks and work most efficiently in every size of team.
Gained experience and demonstrated my creativity within the mixology workshops I ran. Proposed some new skills and ideas that my management previously had not considered.
Achieved high levels of accuracy within the cocktails I produced due to my acute attention to detail and vigilance.
Assistant Manager of a cocktail bar
Promoted to assistant manager after six months of being a bartender, demonstrating the potential my manager saw in me to be flexible and fulfil a leadership role within the business.
Oversaw safety requirements within cleaning and managerial duties.
Efficient and fast at providing top quality drinks and service. Very organised and use my initiative to help tackle the challenges of a high-pressure environment, completing each task to a high standard.
Demonstrated flexibility because the drinks menus would often alter, and I would respond to these changes whilst maintaining a high-quality service.
I apply and improve my communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills on every shift, always applying myself to the changing priorities of my employer. I pick up new skills very quickly and can fulfil any role asked of me.
Current sustainability and environmental management MEnv (international) student
As a graduate from a diverse field of study I believe that I will bring alternative perspectives and ingenuity to my role. The Sustainability and Environmental Management Integrated Masters has taught me flexible, transferrable skills including community and stakeholder engagement, research methods and understanding of governance and policy. The year abroad which I completed in Newcastle, Australia diversified my perspective and adaptability, attributes which I believe to be vital for successful engagement with social sustainability.
