I am currently pursuing a BSc Hons in Computer Science at Queen’s University Belfast. With a strong academic foundation in various programming languages, software engineering, and artificial intelligence, I have developed a keen analytical mind and a passion for technology. My coursework has given me a solid understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of computer science, with standout grades in modules like Procedural Programming and Object-Oriented Programming.
Beyond academics, I gained hands-on experience during my 10-month internship at Rapid7, where I worked as a Software Engineer Intern. In this role, I was responsible for building, testing, and deploying features for a cybersecurity application. This position honed my technical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within a team to meet tight deadlines.
Additionally, I have experience in administrative support from my part-time job at Three Spires Medical Surgery. Here, I managed sensitive patient information and ensured accuracy in filing test reports, which developed my organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
My interests extend beyond technology. As an active member of the Scouts, I have been involved in planning and leading activities, fundraising, and participating in training weekends. This experience has significantly improved my organizational, decision-making, and time management skills. It also demonstrated my adaptability and resilience in facing new challenges.
I bring a well-rounded skill set to any role, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, collaborate effectively within teams, and maintain a high standard of accuracy and organization. My attention to detail and passion for learning new skills make me a strong candidate for positions that require both technical expertise and excellent customer service.
In addition to my technical and administrative abilities, I have achieved the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and an IQL Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis. I also obtained my driving license in September 2021, showcasing my commitment to personal growth and safety.
With my diverse background in computer science, practical work experience, and commitment to continuous improvement, I am eager to bring my skills and enthusiasm to a role that values innovation, precision, and teamwork.
