I have just finished my second year of further education at Edinburgh College studying Sports Therapy. My first year was an HNC in Soft Tissue Therapy where I became a qualified soft tissue specialist, the second year was HND in Sports Therapy, where I became a qualified Sports Therapist. I am experienced in injury assessment, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation planning, and sports massage.
Other skills that I am qualified in are the application of Kinesio Tape and Rigid Tape, and cold and heat therapies. I can also utilise Electrotherapy modalities such as Ultrasound, TENS Machine, Shockwave Therapy and Blood flow restriction Therapy. Outside of my studies I am a Judo Coach where I teach judo to children between the ages of xx and xx.
This job has helped improve my communication skills, teamwork and working by myself. I have also competed for Great Britian internationally for judo which was a great experience.
