I am currently a university student at the University of East Anglia and I live in Norwich city centre full time. I have had work experience in the past, working as a teaching assistant in a school and a crew member at McDonald's, which were both difficult but exciting jobs that required a lot of hard work, which I was not afraid to do. I am confident and not afraid of talking to other people. I can deal with a heavy workload, and I can also work well in a team. I am helpful, careful and calm.
Kitchen Assistant at Duxford Primary School (2025-12 – 2026-02)
I worked as a kitchen assistant in my local primary school over my university winter holiday. I had to help by cutting, cooking, frying and cleaning up around the kitchen. I helped the cook make the school meals, and would even help serve them at lunchtime.
I had to ensure I kept a clean and hygienic working environment by constantly cleaning and washing my hands on the go. I found it also helped build my confidence as when working with children, you have to make sure you communicate to the best of your abilities. There were constantly things that had to be done at the same time, so my skill at multitasking developed.
I also had to have good teamwork, as I am there to help the cook, and ensure that all the food was ready for lunchtime.
McDonald's Crew Member at McDonald's Restaurant(UK) ltd (2024-10 – 2025-09)
I worked for almost a year as a crew member at McDonald's. I have learnt many very valuable skills while working here, including patience, the ability to work well in a team, and providing strong customer service in order to keep the customers as satisfied as possible. I have also learnt to keep calm and collected when working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that I deliver the same quality to every customer no matter how busy it is.
I always aim to provide an enjoyable, helpful, and exciting experience to everyone.
Teaching Assistant at Duxford Primary School (2022-07 – 2022-07)
I worked as a teaching assistant for younger years at Duxford Primary School for 2 weeks in July 2022. I had various duties, such as helping the children with work in class and helping the children with their independent reading, if they needed it. I had to be well-read and good at writing.
I also had to be confident, calm, careful and patient in the job, which I was. I enjoyed the career very much, and while I did find it challenging at times, I persevered and ended up putting in the work, as I did find it quite fun.
