I started when I completed High School at 16 as a design apprentice at Daewoo Motor Company. This was a structured scheme with 1-2 months spent in different departments. A redundancy in 2000 forced a change to a Technician apprenticeship at Sussex Downs College, where I ended up as a lecturer teaching SolidWorks.
I moved to Flowserve Flow Control in 2003 to work as an R&D Engineer, where I was responsible for designing and developing various products, including valves, actuators, and systems. I moved to Ram Pumps Ltd in 2007 as a Design Engineer, to design reciprocating plunger pumps and packages solely for the API market. Redundancy in 2010 forced me to move on to Rodelta Pumps UK Ltd, where was employed to design a completely new range of reciprocating plunger pumps for the API market.
