I'm a qualified mid-weight graphic designer with 7 years of designing and illustrating under my belt. After spending some time as an in-house graphic designer at a college, I decided to go solo for a while to give myself some breathing room and try an array of different design industries.
I'm passionate about creative work and how that impacts people not just for advertising purposes but for what it means to the next generation. I also love to learn and my favourite past-times are drawing, painting and playing board games and computer games.
I have used the adobe creative suite for as long as I could get my hands on a computer and would say I'm an expert in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator but want an opportunity to animating motion graphics. My drawing skills are honed and I often am able to work my way into a particular style, my drawing pathways specifically being corporate infographic styles or totally the opposite with more colourful cartoony-manga-esque work.
I worked in retail part-time while brushing up my portfolio and working freelance when I left university. My first career-specific full-time role was working as an in-house Graphic Designer for Shrewsbury Colleges Group. Since then, I have become freelance again and have worked with adoption agencies, wedding planners, local businesses, an online education platform and more.
I've studied all the way up a Bachelors Degree in Visual Communication (Illustration leaning).
If you want to know more, I studied a Foundation Degree in Art & Design.
Previously to this, I studied AS & A Levels in English Literature, Product Design & Graphic Communication.
I Graduated Secondary school with a decent amount of As but most importantly in Science, Maths and English.
