I am a passionate and experienced Criminologist, Employment Law specialist, and a seasoned CQC Regulatory inspector and former Chair of the Race Equality Network, with a deep-rooted commitment to tackling health inequalities and embedding inclusive culture across public services. In my current role as a Regulatory Inspector at the Care Quality Commission (CQC), I lead on monitoring and reporting quality and safety across Various NHS Trusts, private health care providers including hospital and clinics to ensure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety. Whilst ensuring their ratings are based on whether they're safe, caring, effective, responsive, and well-led., With a strong focus on equity, compliance, and continuous improvement.
I have worked collaboratively with the CQC’s Equality and Diversity Lead to ensure our systems, policies, and practices reflect the needs of people from all protected characteristics. I’ve developed tools and strategies to reduce disparities, supported inclusive recruitment and retention initiatives, and provided training and advice to colleagues on inclusive practice which includes writing policy documents on unconscious biases. I have a bachelors or arts degree in International Relations, an Msc degree in Employmen Law as we ll as another Msc degree in Criminology.
