Finlay Coleman

I’ve just finished my GCSEs. I’m someone who enjoys getting things done, whether I’m on my own or part of a team. I like to think I'm quite organised, I love figuring out how to make things work better and am good when it comes to problem solving. When I’m not working, I’m usually enjoying outdoor activities like the team sport canoe polo in which I regularly train and have participated nationally in. I’m excited about learning new things and bringing my enthusiasm to whatever comes next.

12 - 16 June 2023 - Work experience at Sellafield Centre of Excellence

During year 10, I completed a week of work experience atSellafield. Where I:

• Collaborated with a team and successfully assembled a Go-kart
• Solved various problems, including a timed matrix task to assemble a tower of metal plates connected with bolts.
• Contributed to maintaining a safe work environment by handling hazard reports, incident logging, and organizing fire and first aid procedures.
• Gained experience in using administrative and financial software, mastering advanced tools, and resolving issues through investigation, research, and solution development.

I have attended Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Penrith since 2019 and have just recently finished my GSCEs, and hopefully going on to A-level in the future
