I was employed from October 2024 to September 2026 carrying out a food customer assistant. I completed a wide range of tasks such as greeting customers, tilling, and stock replenishment. I also played a key role in managing the Christmas food-to-order scheme, overseeing the movement of orders, and effectively delegating tasks to ensure efficient operations during the busy period.

Foods Customer Assistant at Marks & Spencer’s (2024-10 – 2026-09)

I was employed from October 2024 to September 2026 carrying out a food customer assistant. I completed a wide range of tasks such as greeting customers, tilling, and stock replenishment. I also played a key role in managing the Christmas food-to-order scheme, overseeing the movement of orders, and effectively delegating tasks to ensure efficient operations during the busy period.

Fixed Term Role at Texas Smoker - Stack St James (2024-09 – 2024-12)

I worked as a member of a small team, in this busy food environment within the stack. Duties included, taking orders, food preparation, cooking orders to a high standard of food hygiene and presentation and also cleaning the area. This often came with high levels of concentration required due to periods where many customers were waiting for orders, this provided me with skills such as multitasking and collaborating with my peers as a team to effectively manage these events.

I also took orders from customers when I was not needed in the kitchen and good communication was essential to pass across specific requests and dietary requirements from the customers.

Bolton Electrical Solutions (2023-06 – 2025-07)

I completed one weeks work experience with Ross Bolton, a small business owner, as part of my school curriculum. This involved learning about electrical installation on new build commercial and domestic projects. Ross was so impressed with my ability and willingness to learn that he asked me to assist him, on a new build house, for a further two weeks during my school holidays in July. I also still complete unpaid work with Ross to further develop my skills and gain experience.
