AHRC-funded Ph.D. Researcher at The University of Surrey, studying contemporary literature and environmental philosophy.
I am seeking employment in a junior/assistant role in publishing where I can apply my core skills of communication, writing, teamwork, software competency and attention to detail to contribute to the development and effectiveness of literary and creative industries.
I have experience with events and production by working as a Project Assistant, Research Assistant and Events Assistant. In these roles, I organised and marketed multiple workshops, conferences, seminars and reading groups in association with large organisations such as the Arts and Humanities Research Council and Kew Gardens. These roles relied on administrative work, personal and team assistance, technical support, and events organisation.
My work centred around adapting to the needs of my colleagues through multitasking and having strong communication skills as a professional liaison for internal and external partners.
I am currently completing my PhD at the University of Surrey in English Literature, due to finish in late September. My thesis explored ocean environments and technologies in contemporary global science fiction media, with an interest in exploring how the arts can facilitate science communication.
