I am a university student studying History and Sociology seeking a part time job. I have excellent communication skills, a good team player, punctual and keen to learn new skills. I am available to work around my study time and am flexible with regards to evening and weekend working.

Work Experience & Voluntary Placement - Whitley Lodge First School

I spent a week on work experience observing and helping in lessons at a local first school, working in the school's early years classrooms, which I chose to develop into a weekly voluntary placement. During this placement, I supported the children in their learning, involving play and standard tasks such as reading and writing as well as helping ensure classrooms were tidy and creating lesson resources. This developed my problem solving and communication skills.

I gained excellent feedback from my placement "We thoroughly enjoyed having Freya in our setting. She was kind, caring and encouraging to the children she supported. Freya communicated well with the teaching staff and sought advice and guidance when appropriate.

She quickly built a positive rapport with the children which allowed them to feel safe and happy when working with her and therefore able to make progress in the activities she supported."

Volunteer - Stepney Bank Stables

I volunteered at Stepney Banks Stables for a year where I helped take care of the horses, prepared them for lessons and assisted clients on their lessons, ensuring they were safe and had a positive experience. Additionally, I helped maintain a very high standard of cleanliness in the environment to keep it safe and presentable which encouraged organisation and time management skills. This developed skills of teamwork and leadership due to the person-centred nature of the role.
