Catering staff - The Little Kitchen

• In my role I work as part of a team that caters for events. This work includes food preparation and hygiene, table setting, cleaning as well serving and assisting with customer care. Most of the events take place between one to three days and are between five to ten hour days.
• I worked with team members to ensure that everyone has the best possible experience. I been able to develop time management skills by preparing and serving food under time pressures. I have also had the opportunity to build upon my communication skills by working with team members and interacting with customers.
• Some of the events that I have worked at have included weddings and festivals. For example, while I was working with The Little Kitchen, I worked at the Rock and Roll Circus festival. Here I got the opportunity to cater for bands such as The Courteeners and McFly, as well as their staff.
