Paid Intern at Hone Bio (June 2025) 

• Shadowed experienced members of the laboratory team to practice techniques used during everyday research. After a demonstration, I then worked independently using these techniques to contribute to ongoing research at Hone Bio. 
• Attended team meetings where current findings were presented. 
• Developed laboratory skills such as using a Cytometer, cell culture upkeep, RiboGreen assays, cloning to produce purified human proteins from Chinese Hamster Ovary cells, producing lipid nanoparticles, Western blotting and more. 

• Demonstrated my ability to convey complex biological concepts in a clear and understandable manner to students, fostering better comprehension and engagement. 
• Deepened understanding of biology through continual review and preparation, staying abreast of new developments in the field to provide up-to-date and relevant information to students. 
• Provided constructive feedback to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement. 
• Demonstrated a genuine passion for biology and education, inspiring students to develop a love for the subject and pursue further studies. 

• Worked as part of a team to provide excellent service under pressure thus improving my communication and time management skills 
• Maintained health and safety standards

BSc Biochemistry with Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (2023 – 2026): Achieved a 2:1 in 1st year and 2nd year

• (2021 – 2023): achieving a score of 39 overall with 7s in Higher Level Biology and Standard Level Spanish B, 6s in Higher Level Chemistry, Standard Level English Literature, Standard Level Philosophy and a 5 in Higher Level Maths Analysis and Approaches GCSEs 
• (2019 – 2021): 10 GCSEs achieving 9s in English Language and English Literature, 8s in Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Spanish, Art and a 7 in Geography
