I have over 7 years' experience in the education field through working with learners across all key-stages from 6 months to 18 years. I have experience in covering and delivering pre-planned lessons, activity planning and monitoring. I have experience in supervising lesson withdrawals/internal exclusions and form tutor and learning mentor experience.
I take initiative with a high level of energy, and I am confident in communicating and presenting at all levels. In my years in teaching and learning, I have developed the ability to create and sustain a caring and encouraging environment that promotes learning and inspire comfort to children and to build their self-esteem. I am able to identify problems & use the appropriate problem-solving skills to do my best to resolve them and determine when to take leadership in a situation and when to seek higher authority.
I am a firm follower of policies & procedures. My ultimate career goal is to become an Assistant or Deputy Head of Year delivering pastoral care with possible teaching/cover supervising responsibilities.

As a Drama teacher, it is my role to teach lessons using preplanned lesson slides provided by the head of department, making adjustments and alterations where necessary to suit my teaching style. As a Cover supervisor, It's my role to ensure that students remain on task and engaged in the learning activities provided by teachers (modifying slides where appropriate) and supervise their behaviour. As Pastoral support for a key stage, I am required to provide personal and tailored care for a selection of pupils from year 7-9 as their trusted adult.

I had the opportunity to cover various subjects across the entire school, including year 12 and 13. With the guidance and support of SLT, I have developed the necessary skills and abilities to effectively manage and maintain high standards of student behaviour in lessons. I also had the responsibility and pleasure of acting as an interim form tutor for a year 10 form group for the last term while their regular form tutor is on maternity leave- I covered the form for registration where we had citizenship lessons/sessions for that short during morning form time.
It was also my duty to accompany and monitor my form in assemblies and other activities held in forms (sports day, inter-form, etc).

I was offered this role after working with the school for over a year with Redbox Teachers Agency. Aside being an Early Years Teaching Assistant, I was responsible for groups of SEN children (nursery and reception and some Year 1 children working at the foundation stage) including those for whom English is not their first language. I support these children with work using an SEN teaching format in small groups outside the main classroom, in the SEN teaching room, as well as running interventions relating to social skills, speech and language and other communication sessions.
I also prepare SEN resources for learning activities and differentiate work for my groups of children in accordance with their class teachers and conduct observations for the SENCO for next steps.

I have worked at these schools, via an agency, on multiple short and long-term occasions to cover as a general and special education needs teaching assistant within key-stage 1 age groups but mostly nursery. It was my duty to provide support either 1:1 or generally for the whole class. As a class assistant, it was my duty to help motivate, encourage and support nursery children in the classroom.
As a SENTA, it was my duty to support the children in class, supervise them when outside and encourage them to interact with others.
